Don’t Start With the Largest Networks: At first, it can be hard to get accepted by the largest affiliate networks, so begin by applying to some that aren’t as well known. Since a well known network may get hundreds of people applying to it every day, they only bother to accept affiliates who can prove they get lots of traffic. When you choose the smaller networks to start with, you’ll see that your application gets approved much faster and without much hassle. You can, of course, try to get into the larger networks as well. But when you get started with the smaller ones, it will give you the confidence to start off your business and later apply to the other high quality networks. What you really want is to begin promoting offers, without spending too much time on the application process. Applying to networks can get frustrating if you get too many rejections, which is why it can be best to start off with ones that are less rigid. 

Call the Network: An easy way to increase your chances of getting your application approved by an affiliate network is to pick up the phone and call them as soon as you submit your application.

Some networks have a policy of calling you, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be proactive and phone them right away. Not only does this improve your chances of acceptance, but it can also make it happen sooner. You don’t want to talk to any random person who answers the phone, but to the affiliate manager, so you can show him or her that you’re serious and committed about affiliate marketing.

The Source of Your Visitors: You should be ready to tell affiliate managers what part of the world your visitors or traffic comes from. Most network favor traffic from the US, so you want to be able to convince them that’s the source of most of your traffic. For this reason, many affiliate networks are less likely to accept applications from affiliates who don’t live in the US or Canada. You can still get accepted if you live elsewhere, but make sure you tell the manager that you have ways to get US based traffic. Make sure you can tell the affiliate manager how you plan to get traffic so you can overcome any misgivings he or she might have. 

That’s about it! These guidelines can make it much easier to get your applications to affiliate networks approved. If any networks reject you, learn from your mistakes and change your approach next time.
