Started football by his older brother’s influence, Seo made his debut for the Korean youth national in 1987. Nicknamed as “Nalssendori”, meaning speedy, Seo had tremendous pace and ability to score goals from anywhere. Throughout his career Seo was offered contracts from European teams such as Barcelona, Benfica, and Valenica. However, his affiliated team at that time Anyang, did not allow such move. After a short term with RC Strasbourg in 97, Seo made another attempt to play in Europe. He joined SV Ried in 05, despite being in the mid-thirties, Seo surprised everyone by being named the player of the year (Jahreswertung aller Spieler) in the Austrian Bundesliga. Currently Seo has retired from football and is looking forward in coaching career.
