When it comes to the internet and modern computing, LG knows a thing or two. The firm has its fingers in a number of technological pies – so to speak – and like many others it is constantly vying to keep ahead of the game when it comes to the latest marketing techniques.
So it hardly comes as a surprise that LG is investing heavily in search engine marketing as it tries to boost the reach of its global branding. The firm has signed up with a new SEO Consultancy to further its search engine optimisation strategy and is attempting to make its brand a global force to be reckoned with by targeting specific regions – such as the United Arab Emirates – with tailored search marketing.
According to H. S. Paik, president of LG Electronics Gulf, search engine optimisation is vital to the firm if it is to strengthen its brand in the region. Speaking to ameinfo.com, Paik said: “In the long run, it will convert our online visitors to customers and have a positive effect on sales.
“Proven to be one of the most cost-effective forms of marketing available, this project will no doubt help us on our journey to becoming one of the Gulf’s leading digital marketers,” he added.
The firm is running its search engine marketing strategy in the Gulf between now and the end of February 2011. And LG will not just focus on Google in its attempt to drive lg.com up the search engine rankings, as it will optimise for Bing as well. “Through intelligent link building, we aim to increase our website visitor numbers by facilitating easy and more relevant browsing through sophisticated search engine optimisation techniques,” Paik told the news provider.
According to a recent report in the Search Engine Journal, picking a local managed hosting service provider is vital when attempting to boost search engine rankings of a website in a particular region. The SEO news provider claimed that hosting a website abroad may be cheaper, but the resulting impact on a firm’s search engine optimisation strategy could be extremely costly as Google and Bing take into account server location when compiling their listings.

An excellent way is through an affiliate income opportunity. Here’s some helpful information to get you started.
An affiliate income opportunity is one in which you earn commissions by promoting goods or services which are produced by someone else. In many cases all the responsibilities for creating the product, managing the order and collection process, and shipping the product are done by someone else.
You only need to promote this product and service. If someone purchases this item through your affiliate link, you get paid a commission based on a percentage of the total cost.
Affiliate products can be both physical goods or digital products like eBooks. One of the best ways to promote physical affiliate products is through Amazon.com. They have an excellent affiliate program and offer thousands of different products you can promote.
If you promote a particular product, you can generate a affiliate link which takes prospective buyers to a website which describes the product and gives the customer an option to order it. This page contains your affiliate information.
If the customer orders the product in this way, you get paid a percentage of the total order. The percentage can be in the 4% range which sounds low. However many of the products can be thousands of dollars so these commissions can add up fast.
Another great place to generate affiliate income is from digital products. Clickbank is one of the largest marketplaces for digital products. You can promote ebooks and get paid up to 75% of the total cost of the product.
All the ordering, product fulfillment, and commission payments are handled directly by Clickbank so you don’t have to worry about any of those aspects. The commissions are paid either once a week or every other week and the money can be deposited directly into your bank account.
These affiliate products can be promoted on your own website or blog. The product owners often offer great marketing tools like banner ads or text links you can add to your pages.
If the customer clicks on these links they are taken to a sales page or order page which contains your affiliate information. Once they order the product from this page, you are automatically credited with the sale and will get paid a commission shortly thereafter.
So this is great low cost way to generate a strong full or part time income. Many thousands of successful Internet marketers are doing so and there are many resources to help you to build your own affiliate income opportunity.
