does anyone really think that just because china and india have more graduates, that we should aspire to live there? no clean water anywhere!power and human energy are indeed moving into asia, but this is also a fallacy, since their ecological and population problems are getting out of hand, and can’t be contained, the rest of this is a hodgepodge of fact and supposition which show just how unstable the world is becoming, most humans don’t have clean water to drink, fuck the technowankers!
No one is suggesting that you go live there. This video was compiled to show you the speed of things changing. It should concern you that India has more honor students than the US has students. By the way, last week, in Central Falls RI, every teacher at a high school was fired because MORE THAN HALF of the seniors were not graduating.
Regarding our second statement:This statement makes absolutely no sense. You agree with a statement then say it is a fallacy. Please explain how pollution and population make their technological advances any less real?
Regarding our third statement:The world has always been unstable. Things are simply changing at an alarming rate, which is what this video was produced to show us, I believe: The speed of things changing.
Regarding our fourth statement:So whats your point? The video indicates the speed of things, not who is better than whom, and I dont recall ANYTHING being mentioned about water
Regarding our last statement:Why is it, when overwhelmed with information, some people feel the need to cuss and blame someone? This is the world we live in. Curse the technology pundits if you want, but thanks to them, we live in a better world. The lesson in this video, in my opinion, is that change is rapid, and unstoppable. Embrace it, or get left behind.
@NFDChiefRet That shouldn’t be the only lesson. This video is supposed to be more then simply inspiring but also scary. Have you stopped to think that maybe we are changing too rapidly? With new technology comes new problems and at the rate we are going I doubt we will be able to handle them as quickly as they arise and develop.
i love this one, even teachers i work with say it. . . “we’re preparing them for jobs that don’t even exist yet”,this is another way of saying “we’re making it up as we go along”,schools still teach kids to shut up, line up, don’t talk, don’t make ANY important decisions about your life or your education, how to become middle class consumers of shit they don’t need,at least the standardized testing industry is doing well, convincing all the gullible parents that it’s not all a joke,
what does it mean??? It mean to fucking live your life to the fullest and enjoy every second of it. Learn and teach everything you can because a 100 hundred years from now the shit you believe in won’t matter. What Matters is what you learned and taught the WORLD!!! So that your kids and future generations can benefit from it. But of course it’ll all be outdated by the time your children have their children. lmfao.
like the song, wish there was a download.
